Designation:
It operates as starter motor during turbine starting and then works
as generator supplying the aircraft mains. Designed for use in turbine-engined
helicopters.
Description:
The starter/generator is a four-pole DC machine. Its housing contains
excitation poles with shunt - excitation windings and commutation
poles. The compensation windings is situated in the excitation pole
shoes.
