Automatic Parachute Release ASP-5


Application:
The automatic parachute release is designed for automatic opening of parachutes at a set altitude and after set lapse of time. It may be also used as a safety device during training and schooling jumps.
The device can be used for all kinds of parachutes and types of aircraft operating at altitudes up to 25 000 m.


Description:
The automatic release is equipped with a clock and a diaphragm type mechanism. The clock permits setting the releasing time from 2 up to 5 second after starting. The diaphragm mechanism permits setting the releasing altitude from 500 up to 4000m.
The releasing will not take place at altitudes higher than set at the altitude scale. When the device is started at an altitude higher than the set altitude, releasing will take place after 0.8 - 1.2 sec after reaching the set altitude. When started at a altitude lower than the set altitude, the releasing will take place after the set time.
The time scale is graduated from 2 to 5 sec every 1 sec.
The altitude scale is graduated from 500 to 4000 m every 100m.
The automatic parachute release is started at the moment of jump by pulling - out of a pin fixed to a rope.
The stroke of the cable that opens a parachute is 70 mm and the force is 28 kG.
To make it possible using the device with all kinds of parachutes and all types of aircraft it is supplied with cables, Bowdens and ropes of various length - as ordered by the customer.
Complete Bowdens: 240 mm; 405 mm; 575 mm; 735 mm.
Cables: 397 mm; 562 mm; 732 mm; 892 mm.
The rope with pin - length 505 mm
The rope with pin and a snap hook - length 2000 mm.

Weight of the automatic parachute release is max. 955 G
