A steering control and autopilot is one of the most important systems installed on a ship.
Everyone who is dealing with shipping affairs will say that it is so, because of the safety matter. Many will add, that there is also the matter of economy.

We, manufacturer of the systems here in Warsaw, being also the makers of an airborne equipment - are absolutely uncompromising where safety and reliability should be taken into account.
The systems make their mark by good functional performance combined with high reliability and easy maintenance.
These features are confirmed by the experience gained in exploitations of our products on hundreds of ships by millions of hours. and high standards of design and manufacture, which always must be the hallmark of aircraft industry.
We test carefully all new solutions. More than 1500 our systems that have been produced in 30 years navigate all over the world. Their MBTF (mean time between failures) is above 30000 hours of operation. It is a good result. The result natural for us.

Apart of systems made for commercial application - for vessels ranging from cutters to supertankers - we have developed autopilots for military application - in particular a digital microprocessor autopilot for an advanced mine hunter, with precise track control and dynamic position control ability - which make it possible to keep preset trajectory or hold given position using ship's active rudders and propellers.
Extremely good functional performance results from our "school of thinking" where a creation process begins from a general theory, then goes through mathematical model, computer simulation, testing, evaluation and testing of control algorithms, creating adequate computer software, testing and debugging of the software - when at the proper time the necessary hardware as well as an user interface and interfaces with other ship's systems are designed and tested.
Results of final functional and environmental laboratory tests - because of our experience as well as Quality System procedures (ISO -9001 and NATO's AQUAP-110) - are in most cases fully confirmed by the performance in real exploitation. Rarely only minor changes or rather adjustments are needed.
